The return window
- Wayfair accepts returns for most items within 30 days of delivery, in original, undamaged condition. If the item came disassembled, send it back disassembled.
- Mattresses: a 100-night trial — free return for store credit, or $49–$99 for a refund to your original payment. Not for toppers, crib, air or open-box mattresses.
- Large appliances: within 48 hours of delivery, not installed, in the original packaging. A manufacturer restocking fee may apply.
Holiday returns
- Anything bought November 1 – December 31 (except appliances) can be returned until January 31.
Fees & refunds
- You generally pay return shipping, taken out of your refund — it depends on the item's size, weight and your location. Original delivery fees aren't refunded.
- No return shipping fee if you drop off at a Wayfair store, or for Wayfair Rewards members and Wayfair credit card holders who choose store credit on eligible mail-in returns.
- No direct exchanges — return for store credit and reorder. Refunds start once the item reaches Wayfair: store credit in about 24 hours, original payment in 3–5 business days.
Can't be returned
- Open-box and clearance items, gift cards, made-to-order or personalized items, live plants, swatches, items marked non-returnable, Consolidated Delivery items, and certain hazardous goods. Discounted bundles must be returned whole.
