Questions
Which stores extend returns for the 2026 holidays?
As of October 10, 2026: Abercrombie & Fitch, Anthropologie, Free People, Gap, Hollister, JCPenney, Kohl's, Macy's, Marshalls, Old Navy, TJ Maxx, Urban Outfitters, Walmart, Wayfair. Each one's window and deadline is in the table above, taken from the store's own return policy.
What's the latest holiday return deadline?
Marshalls and TJ Maxx: online orders bought Oct 4 – Dec 24, 2026 can go back until February 4, 2027.
I bought a gift on Black Friday. When's the last day to return it?
It depends on the store. At a store with a 30-day window and no holiday extension, a Black Friday purchase (November 27, 2026) must go back by Sun, Dec 27, 2026 — two days after Christmas. Stores with a holiday extension give you until January or later. Find your store in the table, or put the exact date in the calculator.
Have Target, Amazon, Best Buy and American Eagle posted their 2026 holiday return dates?
Not as of October 10, 2026. We check each store's official policy page again on November 1 and November 15 and add the dates here as soon as they're posted. Until then, their normal return windows apply.
Every date comes from the store's own return policy, linked on each store's page. Policies change, and stores sometimes exclude items (electronics, appliances, final-sale) from holiday windows — confirm with the store before you go.
