The return window
- Free People accepts unworn, unwashed or defective merchandise. Returns received within 30 days of delivery get a refund to your original payment; after 30 days you get an e-gift card.
- After one year, Free People no longer accepts returns or exchanges. For online orders, the window counts from the delivery date.
- Store purchases go back to a Free People store, with the price tickets attached and the original store receipt.
Holiday returns (2026)
- Purchases made October 1 – December 24, 2026 can be returned for your original payment through January 31, 2027, in original condition with the price ticket and original receipt. After that, you get an e-gift card.
Good to know
- Gift returns are refunded as merchandise credit for the gift receipt value.
- Beauty & Wellness products must be unopened and unused. Vintage Loves and some FP Mart items can't be returned.
- Free People items bought at boutiques or department stores follow that store's policy.
