The return window
- Store purchases: bring the product in its original packaging, new or salable, to any PetSmart. Receipts are valid for 60 days from the purchase date for a refund in the way you paid.
- Without a receipt or with one older than 60 days: bring a valid ID and you get a merchandise return card for the most recent sale price.
- PetSmart can limit returns with or without a receipt.
Online orders
- petsmart.com and app orders can be returned free at any PetSmart store for the purchase price (minus shipping, delivery fees, gift wrap and other charges), in the original packaging with your order confirmation.
- Bring the credit card you paid with to get the refund on that card. PayPal and delivery-app orders get a merchandise return card. Purchases older than 60 days can't be returned by mail.
Exceptions
- Prescription medications can't be returned or exchanged.
- A receipt is required for items $10 or more in these groups: electronic collars, fencing and training items, grooming tools, filters and pumps, non-prescription medications and vitamins, ThunderShirts and calming products, and all flea and tick products.
- Treats Rewards points used on a returned item are forfeited, and points earned on it are taken back.
